Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Acceptance

By using Mahi AI, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Mahi AI provides AI-powered tools for NZ small businesses including email reply drafting, quote generation, compliance guidance, and meeting notes processing. All outputs are drafts for your review — you are responsible for reviewing and editing before use.

Not professional advice

Mahi AI is not a law firm, accounting firm, or professional services provider. Compliance check outputs are general guidance only and do not constitute legal advice. Always consult a qualified NZ lawyer, accountant, or employment specialist for decisions with significant legal or financial consequences.

Acceptable use

You may use Mahi AI for legitimate business purposes. You may not use it to generate spam, harassing communications, illegal content, or to violate any applicable law. You retain ownership of the content you create using the service.

Subscription and billing

Mahi AI costs $79 NZD per month plus GST. Payment is via Stripe. Your subscription renews monthly until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via the billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months.

Free trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. After 14 days, you will be prompted to subscribe to continue using the service.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by NZ law, Kauri Labs Limited's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 3 months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
